Mengyao Guo

Mengyao Guo is an accomplished solo and collaborative pianist, currently based in London. She began her musical journey at the age of 8, and her passion for piano has led to an impressive career that combines performance, teaching, and collaboration.

Mengyao holds an Artist Diploma in Collaborative Piano from the Royal College of Music, graduating with distinction in 2024. Prior to this, she completed a Master of Music in Piano Performance at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Her training provided her with extensive experience in solo performance, chamber music, and ensemble collaboration. She has worked with renowned musicians, specializing in sight-reading, vocal accompaniment, and instrumental collaboration.

Mengyao has gained significant teaching experience across multiple educational settings, both in the UK and China. As a piano instructor at Yuehai Music Education, she successfully prepared students for ABRSM examinations, maintaining a high success rate in helping students achieve distinctions. She also conducted public masterclasses and lectures at the China Nanjing International Youth Music Festival, demonstrating her versatility as both a teacher and performer.

In addition to her teaching, Mengyao has performed in numerous recitals and competitions, winning several awards, including first prize in the Xi’an Xinghewan Piano Solo Competition and accompanying the first-prize winner in the Royal Maas International Music Competition. She is deeply committed to inspiring students of all ages and skill levels, providing personalized instruction that emphasizes technical development, musical interpretation, and creative expression.
